Ensuring Accountability for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence resulting from Russia’s War against Ukraine

The U.S Mission to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe organises WarsawHDC side event “Ensuring Accountability for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence resulting from Russia’s War against Ukraine”.

The main topic of the event is about holding Russia accountable for perpetrating conflict-related sexual violence in Ukraine. In the context of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, the speakers will explore how the international community, civil society and other stakeholders can cooperate to support international and Ukrainian accountability mechanisms and pursue justice for sexual and gender-based violence at the hands of Russian soldiers.  

Co-researcher Valerie Oosterveld will present on “International Criminal Justice and Accountability for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Ukraine”.
