The event is organised by Stop Ecocide Canada, Stop ecocide International, Youth for Ecocide Law, and the Canadian Partnership for International’s Justice on “Preventing Ecocide: Canada’s Potential Role in Change”. The panel discussion aims to explore connection between human rights and ecocide law.
Co-founder Fannie Lafontaine and co-researcher Darryl Robinson presented “Criminal Law and the Environmental Crisis”. The panel is also composed of experts Amalie Wilkinson, Lisa Oldring, and Dona Grace-Campbell.
