EASO-GRSI Workshop on Private Sponsorship Programmes

The EASO-GRSI (European Asylum Support Office – Global Refugee Sponsorship Initiative) Workshop on Private Sponsorship Programmes (PSP) was the first thematic meeting organised in the framework of EASO’s PSP.

Professor Jennifer Bond co-designed and chaired a two-day workshop for delegates from ten European Union member states that are part of a pilot network of states interested in community refugee sponsorship programs. She provided a thorough overview of key policy design features of sponsorship programs based on co-authored, on-line publication on sponsorship building blocks.

Presenters included other senior members of the GRSI leadership team from IRCC and UNHCR, as well as representatives from the Canadian Refugee Sponsorship Agreement Holders Council, European Commission and EASO.
