Legal Diversity and the Universal Vocation of International Law

McGill University’s Faculty of Law and the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University, have the pleasure of inviting you to a one-day Symposium on the theme of legal diversity and the theory and practice of contemporary international law. Other sponsors of the event include the McGill Alumni Association of the Netherlands and the Harvard Club of the Netherlands. The symposium will take place in the Hague, Netherlands.

Dr Payam Akhavan will participate as a panelist for the session on “International Criminal Law: Perspectives from Academics and Practitioners”. His presentation is titled “Global versus Local Justice: The Realities of Complementarity”
